Report: American Employment On The Rise
A recent report by ADP showed employment in the American private business sector increased by 157,000 from May to June of this year.
The National Employment Report also showed service sector jobs increased by approximately 130,000 in June, almost tripling gains from the month of May. This is the 18th straight month this aspect witnessed employment gains. The goods-producing sector also had impressive gains - a total of 27,000 - and erased the lack of progress that occurred in May.
Manufacturing employment increased for the seventh time in eight months, for a total of 24,000 more jobs. Larger businesses gained 10,000 more employees in May, while medium-sized businesses had a job increase of nearly 60,000. Small businesses had close to 90,000 job gains during the same time period.
The report shines a positive light on the employment situation, which struggled since the recession. Consumers who were recently hired, but are hurt by missing credit card payments during a layoff may want to explore debt relief options, as repairing credit scores as quickly as possible is recommended in a still uncertain economy.
