Almost One-in-two Consumers Work For Bad Managers

Share this on:

Nearly half of employees have had unreasonable bosses. A recent report by staffing service OfficeTeam showed approximately 45 percent of consumers have worked for managers that they considered to be unreasonable.

OF those who considered their office situation untenable, nearly six out of 10 stayed put in their position and either dealt with their boss' behavior, or addressed the issue with their management.

"Bad bosses aren't necessarily bad people, but they certainly can make work challenging for those who report to them," said Robert Hosking, executive director of OfficeTeam. "Often, individuals are promoted because they excel in a given job, but that doesn't mean they have the skills to be effective leaders."

If a consumer deals with an a manager they consider to be unreasonable, it may not be wise to leave their position of employment solely for that reason. Because of the poor state of the economy, job availability is still low, and many consumers are dealing with significant financial issues. For those consumers who have such problems, utilizing a debt relief service while looking for another job could be a much smarter decision.
